Who is HAVA

The Houston Association of Volunteer Administrators (HAVA) is the local professional membership association for individuals working in the field of volunteer resources management. HAVA is a dynamic organization, which has grown to include volunteer management professionals from community service agencies, hospitals, arts organizations, governmental institutions, and corporations.

 

History

The Houston Association of Volunteer Administrators (HAVA) began in 1973 with five successful volunteer administrators and has grown to include professionals from community service agencies, hospitals, arts organizations, governmental institutions, individual consultants and corporations. HAVA was a major supporter of the formation of Volunteer Houston and is one of the leaders in ongoing training for new and experienced volunteer administrators.

 

Mission Statement

The mission of HAVA is to educate, empower and elevate volunteer administrators in the Greater Houston area.

Vision Statement

Houston Association of Volunteer Administrators will be the premier professional association for individuals who manage volunteer programs.
